Each and every person is worthy of a life that is vibrant, abundant and healthy. We all deserve a life full of love and gratitude. But how often do we live this? How often is life mediocre, disconnected, chaotic, unfulfilled?

Prior to yoga, Cynthia did not possess the tools needed to navigate the challenges of everyday life that we often face. She felt conflicted, never believed that her accomplishments were good enough, she was disconnected with who she was and what talents she possessed; unaware that being herself was all she ever had to be.

She stepped onto her yoga mat the first time for no other reason than to get sculpted arms like Madonna. Though, after a short time, her external body results mattered little in comparison to how the practice made her feel internally. On the mat she became grateful for the person that she saw in mirror every day, she experienced more energy than she knew possible, became more intentional in her actions and gained clarity.

Simply by showing up each and every time, she discovered her superpower.

Today, Cynthia teaches both strong alignment based vinyasa flow and restorative yoga classes in Bend, OR. She facilitates yoga workshops nationally, teaches one-on-one and group yoga private sessions to those that want to deepen their practice and leads yoga retreats in Mexico. In each of her classes you will find: a theme weaved through to allow for the conscious knowing of your own inner strength; tools to navigate the challenges of everyday life; a carefully sequenced yoga class, sometimes strong and powerful other times relaxing and restorative; precise alignment cues; meditation and breath work.

The foundation of her career as an instructor was shaped in 2005 at the Himalayan Institute where she took her first 200hr teacher training. Continuing her education she did a second 200hr training at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago and began teaching yoga in 2007. She quickly taught classes all over the city, had several private clients, helped facilitate yoga wellness programs in businesses, began teaching with and in 2010 she taught her first yoga retreat in Chacala, Mexico. That same year she moved to Bend where she teaches primarily at Groove Yoga. She recently received her 500hr training with Rolf Gates.

Throughout the course of her career Cynthia has had the great fortune to study with numerous master teachers and has done yoga teacher trainings with Aadhil Palkhivala and Seane Corn. In 2009 she did the Off the Mat Into the World Intensive with Seane Corn, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling. She currently collaborates with a local non-profit, World Muse. World Muse provides women the tools to find and use their capabilities to create positive change in their lives, their communities, and the world. Cynthia works as an event director, creates curriculum and helps facilitates the yoga portion of workshops and events for the organization.
